Fire and Hops was born from the combined talents and shared vision of Joel Coleman and Josh Johns. Their journey began in 2010, working side-by-side at Santa Fe’s Koi Restaurant and 2nd Street Brewery. What started as camaraderie soon blossomed into a collaborative dream.

Fire and Hops - Our Core Principles:

  1. Local.
  2. Sustainable.
  3. Quality.
  4. Friendly.

After gaining experience in San Francisco’s vibrant restaurant industry, Joel returned to Santa Fe, reuniting with Josh, who had since helped launch Santa Fe Hard Cider. Both saw a gap in Santa Fe’s dining scene—a need for a gastropub offering high-quality food and beverages at neighborhood-friendly prices.

That vision became Fire and Hops, a place named to celebrate two essentials: exceptional cuisine and craft brews, served in a welcoming, casual atmosphere.

Committed to Community and Sustainability

Joel and Josh’s vision extends beyond great food and drink. Fire and Hops is built on sustainable practices, supporting local farmers and ranchers, and fostering a community-centered environment where families and friends can come together. It’s a place that celebrates the diversity and spirit of Santa Fe.
