With the Super Bowl coming up, I thought I'd share this easy recipe for Cheese & Mushroom Dip in a sourdough bowl. It's the perfect party appetizer. But, of course, you don't need a party to enjoy it. Read on for the full recipe.
Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: New Mexican
Author: Marcy Inspired
- 1 ½ cups Parmesan Cheese Fresh, Shredded
- 2 cups Cheddar Cheese Shredded
- 1 ¾ cups Mushrooms Sliced & Fresh
- 1 ¾ cups Mayonnaise
- 1 packet Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix
- 1 Sour Dough Bread Round Plus an additional Sour dough baguette for dipping
Preheat oven to 375º
Combine all of the above ingredients (minus the bread) in a large bowl.
Mix well.
Take sourdough round and hallow it out to create a bread bowl by first cutting straight across the top and then cutting a circle going down.
Carefully remove inside bread and set aside for dipping.
Place hallowed sourdough bowl on baking sheet and fill with cheese and mushroom mixture.
Bake for 45 minutes until cheese is melted and top is golden brown.
Cut up remaining bread into 2-3" pieces for dipping.
You may want to warm additional bread in oven for a few minutes.
