Ingredients
- ½ pound meat (chicken, pork or beef), chopped, shredded or ground
- 2 cups green chile sauce (try the New Mexico green chile sauce recipe, below)
- 1 dozen 6-inch corn tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cups sour cream (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly fry corn tortilla in warm oil (steam for low-fats option).
- Put tortillas on a paper towel to drain extra oil.
- Place the tortilla at the dinner plate.
- Add preheated inexperienced chile, cooked meat, and cheddar cheese (gently sprinkled).
- Add every other tortilla and build more layers. Top with green chile and sprinkle more cheese on top.
- Place in a preheated oven broiler until the cheese is melted (about 5 minutes). Garnish with sour cream and serve.
