Meatballs In Marinara
These Homemade Meatballs in Marinara Sauce are so delicious, you may decide to skip the pasta and have them on their own! They're made with a combination of ground beef & Italian sausage, and they're loaded with fresh herbs and other yummy ingredients, then topped with mozzarella cheese! Read on for the recipe.

Materials
- 1 lb. Ground Beef
- ½ lb. Hot Italian Sausage
- 1 cup (approx.) Bread Crumbs
- ½ cup Onion Finely chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic Minced
- ¼ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese (Optional)
- 1 Egg
- Salt To taste
- Pepper To taste
- 2 tbsp. Fresh Sage Finely chopped
- 2 tsp. Fresh Rosemary Finely chopped
- 2 tsp. Fresh Basil Finely chopped
- 1 jar Marinara Sauce
- Mozzarella Cheese For melting on top (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, place hamburger meat, Italian sausage, chopped onion, minced garlic, grated parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, egg, sage, rosemary, basil, salt and pepper and mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.
- Form meat mixture into 2-inch balls.
- Heat large skillet over stove.
- Coat bottom lightly with olive oil and brown meatballs on all sides until fully cooked.
- Pour marinara sauce over meatballs, lower heat and let simmer approx. 5-10 minutes.
- If desired, cover each meatball with a slice of mozzarella cheese and cover until melted.
- Garnish with additional basil or parsley.
- Remove from stove and enjoy on their own, with your favorite pasta, or in a meatball sandwich.
