THE EASIEST WAY TO MAKE RASPBERRY SCONES

If you love scones and are looking for the absolute easiest way to make raspberry scones, then you've come to the right place. This recipe is so easy and delicious, and you can even substitute the raspberries for whatever fruit you happen to have (fresh or frozen)

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Pastry Blender

Materials

  • 2 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2/3 cup Butter Chilled
  • 8-10 tbsp. Milk
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Raspberries Fresh
  • Course Sugar for topping

Instructions

  • Whisk together all dry ingredients in large bowl.
  • Cut butter into flour mixture using pastry blender.
  • Combine milk and vanilla in small bowl, then add to flour mixture. Stir to form a dough.
  • Add raspberries and gently knead evenly into the mixture.
  • Take half of the dough, place it on a well-floured surface, and shape it into a disk (flat round circle).
  • Cut dough into 5 or 6 triangle wedges.
  • Place on a cookie sheet and sprinkle generously with coarse sugar.
  • Do the same for the other half of the dough.
  • Bake 18-20 minutes in an oven at 400º.
