Cuisine New Mexican
Ingredients
- 1 15 oz. pack Fideos Or angel hair pasta broken into small pieces
- 1 tbsp Canola Or olive oil
- 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
- 1 8 oz. can Tomato Sauce
- ½ tsp Salt
- ¼ tsp Pepper
- 2 cups Water
Instructions
- Heat oil in a medium sauté pan, add fideos and cook for about 2 minutes, until noodles begin to turn slightly brown.
- Add tomato paste, and mix until fully combined.
- Next add tomato sauce, water and bring to a boil.
- Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Let boil for 1 minute, and then turn the heat to simmer, cook until the noodles have softened and all the liquid has been absorbed.
- Some people like their noodles a little “soupier,” so adjust them to your liking.
- Add more water if you want them with more liquid, or less if you want them with a thicker consistency.
