If you love loaded nachos, this homemade Nachos Supreme recipe is everything you want on one big tray. It’s packed with seasoned ground beef, refried beans, melted cheese, fresh tomatoes, jalapenos, black olives, and green onions. It has all the flavor of Taco Bell Nachos Supreme, but with fresher ingredients and a bigger, crunchier bite.
This version bakes in the oven so the chips stay crisp and the toppings warm and melty.
What Makes Nachos “Supreme”?
Traditional nachos are simple: chips, cheese, and maybe jalapenos.
Nachos Supreme takes things further with:
- Seasoned ground beef
- Refried beans
- Fresh tomatoes
- Sour cream
- Green onions
- Jalapenos
- A good cheese melt
Your tray should feel loaded but not soggy, and every bite should have a mix of warm and fresh toppings.

Use thick chips
Thin chips collapse under heat and toppings.
Shred your own cheese
Pre-shredded cheese has anti-caking powder that prevents smooth melting.
Add cold toppings after baking
Tomatoes, lettuce, cilantro, onions, avocado, and sour cream taste better fresh.
Bake quickly at high heat
This keeps the chips crisp and prevents sogginess.
Nachos Supreme Recipe Variations

Storage and Reheating
These are best eaten fresh.
If you must store leftovers:
- Keep toppings and chips separate if possible
